The homeowners saved $565.60 over what the home was expected to generate in electric consumption, this shows how much homeowner behavior affects even the most efficient units.

With the homeowner’s actions, the actual consumption related to a HERS score of 61. These homeowners saved $13.46 a month for four years through their conservation activities.

The Homeowners saved $2,750.50 over a code-built home for 2009. Thats a savings of $65.48 per month, by the homeowners chosing a LEED Gold home over a standard home.

The Homeowners saved $6,556.60 over an existing older house. That’s a savings of a whopping $156.10 in savings EVERY MONTH.
