If you qualify for a Great Choice Home Loan and you’re purchasing an existing home in a targeted ZIP Code, you can apply for $15,000 in financial assistance for your down payment and closing costs. The Hardest Hit Fund Down Payment Assistance (HHF-DPA) program is available to Great Choice borrowers who purchase a home in a neighborhood that was hardest hit in the economic downturn and is recovering more slowly than other areas across the state.
At HomeSource we are already receiving calls and emails about this new THDA Down Payment Assistance money that will be available starting March 1.
HomeSource is proud to be a provider of the Homebuyer Education that is required for the program, but we can also help you in other ways.
If you don’t know if you are ready to purchase, you can come talk one-on-one with our counselors to help determine where you are and where you want to go.
Once you determine you are ready to move forward, our free Financial Fitness Class series can help you with budgeting, savings and credit to prepare you to purchase.
When your budget, savings, and credit is on track, our Homebuyer Education Class will give you all the tips you need to know before, and after you purchase and will walk you through the purchase process.
Once you are ready, let our full-service non-profit real estate company, Tennessee Valley Realty, help you find your dream home.
