We know that the COVID19 is causing considerable disruption throughout the county. HomeSource is addressing this crisis by taking the following steps.
- We currently plan to remain open throughout the period of this crisis. However, we are closing our front door at Winona St. to walk-ins until June 21st, 2021. This is a fluid date, please check back to see if it has changed. If you need to meet with us, please contact us at 865-637-1679 or call directly to the correct staff person if you need to schedule an in-person meeting. For those who work with Susan Ogle, she will be available primarily by phone.
- If you have a meeting scheduled at our office, please be aware that you must bring and wear a facemask. Any customer that does not have a mask will not be able to meet with staff. No exceptions to the policy will be allowed.
- Staff reserves the right to administer a non-evasive temperature test on all entries. Individuals with temperature over 100 degrees will not be allowed to meet with staff.
- We have eliminated all gatherings until farther notice. Any events that have been scheduled are cancelled until it is again safe to gather. If you are scheduled for a Financial Capabilities Class, please reach out to Laura Contreras regarding how to participate in the class via Zoom.
- We are encouraging out tenants to use alternative forms of payment for their rents. Information about alternative payment forms can be found below. During this crisis, we will reduce rent payment made through Popmoney by $1 to offset the costs of using the service.
- We are closely monitoring our staff’s health and taking appropriate measures to keep sick staff out of the office and away from customers.

HomeSource COVID-19 rent payment policy.
The following policies will be in affect through June 1st, 2020.
A tenant who is not able to make a rent payment due to a COVID-19 issue will not be charged a late fee during the period from April-June 2020. Staff may request details on the specific COVID-19 issue, and in some cases, documentation may be requested.
No evictions will be started due to non-payment due to valid COVID-19 related issues.
Please note that a delay in paying rent does not remove the obligation to make the payment. Rent will continue to be charged each month. Balances after will June 1st will be due and payable at that time.
